Today, Germany has passed the law to erect a censorship infrastructure.

So. I am five years on dA now. Much has changed, but despite all the goodies the administration has invented I feel less and less attached to this site. It is too big and too anonymous. Guess that's the price for being one of the biggest art sites on the net. Anyway, dont expect much activitity from me in the future. And happy 5th deviant birthday to me.

I have decided that I will no longer say thank you on your userpage if you fav any of my work without further commenting. This decision has nothing to do with you in person. I still might do it if I feel like it, but dont expect it.

Reason:

Clicking the fav button - or that collection thingie - is similar to stating "I do like this work". Well, that's cool. It gives me some feedback and I appreciate the fav. But it is just a click and a total no-brainer. If there was a "Thank-You" button, I'd click it in return. But there is no such thing.

But from now on, unless you take the time to elaborate on why you like this specific work of mine, dont expect me to take the time to say thank you for it. Talk to me and I talk to you. Otherwise, you can simply assume, that I do appreciate the click and that's it.

You probably have your reasons for not taking the time to further comment on the work. Whatever reason you might have, it is perfectly fine with me. You dont have to.
